Student Senate Meeting Minutes
11/4/25
President Garrett Rotzien called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Special Request: Por La Cultura Club (Requesting $95)
- The Por La Cultura Club is looking for a special request for their Day of the Dead event tomorrow. This event will be a dance and celebration open for the Saint Mary’s community, Winona State University, and the Winona community to remember those who died. With this special request, they are hoping for some art supplies and food for the event to happen.
- There are normally around 30-40 people that show up to the Por La Cultura Club events. For this specific event due to a larger number of people invited to the Day of the Dead event there are plans for 150 people to come.

- RSVP and reply to the email if you have any special dietary needs by November 5th.
Noah Lahner, Vice President of Financial Affairs
- There will be a Finance Committee meeting on Friday!
Javier Rodriguez, Vice President of Campus Affairs
- Thank you to those that have filled out the capital improvements form and for those who haven’t done it yet to please do it since we would appreciate as much input as possible!

Reese Heitzman, Vice President of Public Affairs

Priyanka Satish, Vice President of Student Affairs
- Men’s basketball on Saturday (11/8) at 4PM.
- Men’s hockey on Saturday (11/8) at 7PM.
- Women’s basketball on Monday (11/10) at 6PM.
- We’re partnering with The Perch for the upcoming women’s basketball game! We’re hosting a white-out student section, so make sure everyone pops out in all white to show support. During halftime, we’ll be running a fun mini-game of “Lightning” on the court. It’s a great way to get students involved and keep the energy high. Let’s help pack the stands and make it a great atmosphere for the team!
