Ready to put your creativity to the test and win some serious prize money? Sign up now for the annual Kabara Pitch Competition! This exciting event is open to all students, whether you’re working independently or in a team, and it’s your chance to give an elevator pitch about a brilliant idea for a new product, service, or business venture. You will have 2 minutes to give the pitch! The competition will take place on November 12th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Kabara Suite. Not only is it a great chance to practice your presentation skills, but you could also walk away with one of our fantastic prizes: $500 for first place, $400 for second, $300 for third, and a special prize of $150 for the Best Use of a Prop.
Need help getting started? Don’t stress about coming up with an idea on your own! Stop by the Makerspace and talk with Matt Klosky or Terra Lieser. We’re happy to help you brainstorm and refine your concept. To enter the contest, simply email your name (and team members’ names, if applicable) and idea to Mklosky@smumn.edu. But don’t wait—the deadline to sign up is November 10th at noon! We can’t wait to see your innovative ideas!
