Check out the information below to support the attendance tracking effort in Canvas
All courses must now record attendance in Canvas to meet federal regulations for student financial aid eligibility. Attendance should be submitted three times per course: at the end of weeks 1, 2, and 3 (Monday–Sunday).
A student is marked Present if they participate in an academic activity such as attending class, submitting assignments, taking exams, joining assigned study groups, participating in online discussions, or contacting faculty about course content. Communication about absences also counts as participation.
A student is marked Absent if they have not participated in any academic activity and have not communicated with the instructor.
