Get Ready: How to Register Your Summer or Fall Internship
Are you planning to complete a for-credit internship this summer or fall? If so, make sure you complete the Internship Registration process on time to earn your academic credit.
Summer Internship Details
For summer internships, you must complete the Internship Registration process before May 5, the start of the summer term. Internships may be completed between May 5 – August 2.
Visit the Internship Registration website for full details, including requirements and access to all necessary forms. Once all documentation is submitted and approved, the Registrar will enroll you in your internship credits.
Who Needs to Register?
You are required to enroll in an internship for credit if:

Your degree program requires it (CJ, HH, PY, Sport Management)

The employer requires it
-
You need elective credits ((ex. B, BU, C, CS, COM, etc.)
Not sure? Meet with your faculty advisor to determine if you should enroll for credit.
Planning Ahead for Fall or Spring
It’s never too early to start your internship search! Many organizations recruit interns months in advance, so aim to plan 3-6 months ahead.

Already secured a fall internship for credit? You can complete the registration process now! Just be sure to finalize everything before September 2, the start of the fall semester.
