On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, over thirty Saint Mary’s students participated in the Day at the Capitol. Our students met with their legislators at the State Capitol in St. Paul along with other student advocates to ask their legislators to support the Minnesota State Grant program — a program that directly supports low- and middle-income college students. With a projected $240 million shortfall predicted for the MN State Grant program over the next two years, the advocacy from our students was never more important. They represented the university so well, serving as articulate, professional, and compassionate advocates for the State Grant Program. Thank you to these students and thanks to the faculty and staff who supported their participatio in this day.
(Note: All student participants are not reflected in the photo as some were still meeting with legislators.)
