You have two opportunities to see your Cardinals play at home this week. If you can’t make it to the one home baseball game, don’t worry—there’s plenty more baseball action throughout the weekend.

WOMEN’S TENNIS ACTION

After a busy weekend facing conference opponents and going 1-1, the Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team (11-5) isn’t going anywhere.

They will host St. Catherine (7-2) this Friday at 6:00 p.m. for their only match of the week.

PLENTY OF BASEBALL

Last week was a hectic one for the Saint Mary’s baseball team (5-7), as their original schedule for the weekend was changed at the last minute. The Cardinals played at Luther on Thursday, splitting their series, before hosting UW-Eau Claire for their home opener on Friday.

The Cardinals had an exciting home opener, sweeping the Blugolds in a dramatic walk-off win during the second game in extra innings. Now, they’re gearing up for a busy week of games ahead.

The team will start the week with a single game at home against Viterbo, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

They will then head to Illinois for the weekend, playing two games on Friday in Carol Stream against Marian and Wheaton. On Saturday, they’ll face Calvin in one game, followed by a game against Illinois Tech on Sunday at noon.

To keep their streak going, they will return home for a day of practice before hosting a doubleheader against UW-Superior on Tuesday, starting at 1:00 p.m.
