As the tutors, mentors, and writing tutors enter their availability into Penji this week, you will be able to sign up for times next week. Please be patient as their availability will be entered throughout the week. It may appear that times are very limited or like there is no one available until later this week. As a reminder, you cannot sign up for a peer tutoring session within 24 hours of your desired start time, so please plan ahead. Mentoring and writing tutoring can be scheduled with very short notice through Penji as they work weekly office hours in Saint Mary’s 103 – The Learning Hub.
Peer Tutors offer class-specific support and guidance.
Peer Mentors offer support in learning and using general academic skills like note taking, reading strategies, time management, study strategies, and organization skills. A student can meet with a mentor weekly to talk through their plan for the week and be accountable to the mentor each week for completing that plan, and building a new one.
Writing Tutors offer support during any part of the writing process. They can assist with general writing assignments, lab reports, presentations, resumes, and cover letters.
