Did you order an absentee ballot from your home state?  If so, don’t forget to check your mailbox on campus for that ballot.  You will not get a notice that your absentee ballot has arrived from the Mail Room.  You need to check your mailbox for that ballot.

Did you forget to order an absentee ballot from your home state?  You can still vote in the election here in Winona.  In Minnesota, you can register to vote on Election Day.  Saint Mary’s University has provided local election officials a student housing list. If you are on the list, show your university photo ID at your polling location to complete your registration.  Students at Saint Mary’s vote at River Bluff Church, 850 Highway 14, Winona, MN.

If you do not live on campus,  you can register to vote at your polling location by showing an ID with a current name and address along with one of the following documents, which can be shown on an electronic device:

  • Phone, internet,  TV, solid waste, sewer, electric, gas, or water bill, account or start-of-service due or dated within 30 days of the election with your off-campus address
  • Banking or credit card bill, account or start-of-service due or dated within 30 days of the election with your off-campus address
  • Residential lease or rent agreement valid through Election Day with your off-campus address
  • Current student fee statement with your off-campus address.

Remember, as a Saint Mary’s student,  you have the choice to vote the local ballot at either your home residence or at your university.  If you failed to get your absentee ballot from home, you can still vote in MN.

We are working to have 92% of our students vote on Election Day!
