Student Senate Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Joel Tranel at 7:00 p.m.

Dance Team Requests:

- All of these costumes stay at Saint Mary’s, even after people graduate

- Minimum amount that is needed for this year to function for just the costumes is $1,000
- Would go to all 13 girls
- Would be worn at all SMU home basketball games, Timberwolves games, and St. Kate’s University small competition

- Meeting with Ann on Thursday to go over the plan for election day to be able to then promote the students next Tuesday
- Questions sent to MN House Candidates from Saint Mary’s students to help answer questions we may have
Ali French, Vice President of Student Affairs
- Open swim now from 6-9pm Sundays and Fridays
- Women’s and men’s Soccer play Tuesday and Wednesday at 7pm home
- Friday Men’s (UW-Stout) and Women’s (St. Norberts) hockey kicks off their season and Women’s volleyball is at St. Kates
- Saturday Men’s and Women’s Soccer are home against Carlton and it is both their senior nights. So go support, especially women’s at 1pm bc if they win, they are most likely going to win the conference. Volleyball is home at 7pm against Scholastica and Men’s Hockey has their home opener Saturday night at 7pm

- I have a meeting on Friday at 2 pm discussing a group that’s taking Digital and Social Media Analytics. They’re doing a consulting project on Student Senate and saw that I am VP of Social Media and Communication via Instagram. They wanted to sit down and talk about my position and how I complete your responsibilities with this position.
