Check Your Account for Holds!

Do you have a hold on your account? Find out now! 

  1. Log into “The Nest
  2. Click “Student”
  3. Holds will be displayed under the “Student Academic Information” section

 

NOTE: Health Holds will not be placed on student accounts until 10/21. If you have not turned in your required forms, you should do that before 10/21. Required forms include:

  • Student Health History Form (recommend submitting after a health exam)
  • Immunization History Form (recommend submitting after a health exam)
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Questionnaire
  • Guardian Medical Consent for Minors Form (if younger than age 18 at the start of the semester)

All health forms can be submitted in the Student Health Portal.

 

A hold on your student account will prevent you from registering for the upcoming semester. 

You must “clear” the hold before you will be able to register. Instructions on how to clear common holds are below. If you have questions, please contact the Student Success Center, studentsuccess@smumn.edu

 

Consent to To Business Hold 

To remove the hold, students will need to complete the payment agreement form. To find the payment agreement form, log in to the Nest and select Student > Records & Documents (Forms)> The Consent to do Business, Payment Agreement, and Disclosure Statement.

Title IX Administrative Hold 

To clear this hold, students must complete the required training. To do so, navigate to https://www.brainshark.com/trainedsolutions/smustudent. Students should register using their Saint Mary’s email account.  Students will receive credit for completing a module once 80% of the audio has been played and 80% of the slides have been viewed.  Students will also need to score 70% or better on the quiz at the end of the module.

Past Due Balance Hold 

Past due balance holds occur when a student has an outstanding bill due to the university. In order to clear this hold, the bill must be settled either through a payment, a payment plan, or by reviewing your eligibility for financial aid. 

  • To pay your balance, you can pay via credit card in the Nest, or by check dropped off or mailed to Cardinal Central (700 Terrace Heights, Box #8, Winona, MN  55987)
  • To set up a payment plan, log into the Nest and select Student > Finances. Select “Go to CASHNet” to get started. Once you are in CASHNet, click on “Payment Plans” to view your plan options. 
  • To Review your eligibility for financial aid, students should log in to the Nest and select Student > Finances. Next, select “click here” in the “manage My financial Aid” section in the top right corner of this new screen. This will allow you to view your financial aid.

Health Hold 

To remove the hold, students need to complete their immunization history form. To find the immunization history form, log in to the Nest and select Student > Records & Documents (Forms) > Immunization History. Questions? Contact the Wellness Center (wellnesscenter@smumn.edu)
