On Thursday, May 23, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota will welcome Dr. Artur Schwartz for “Five Reasons Why It’s Hard to be a Character-Centered Leader.” Dr. Arthur Schwartz, the former Senior Scholar at the United States Air Force Academy, will explain why so many leaders resist placing character at the core of their leadership philosophy. Arthur will also share evidence-based strategies that help leaders integrate character into how they lead themselves, others, and change. Currently, Dr. Schwartz is the president of Character.org. and served for 15 years as an executive at the John Templeton Foundation. He received his doctorate in adolescent moral development from Harvard University. This event is open to all faculty, staff, and students in the Ed.D., D.BA., and the master-level leadership programs in education and business. program directors, faculty, and students.
