New Adviser Workshop
Tuesday, Oct. 19, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

New to advising? Need a refresher on advising? As an adviser, your primary role is to guide your students through their major and onto a successful post graduate career. This is a large task, but it doesn’t have to be difficult. During this workshop, we will go over advising basics; including holistic advising practices, nuances and inner workings of advising, and the Integratus program. Through this workshop, we hope to offer you a strong foundation for successful advising here at Saint Mary’s.
Integratus Workshop
Thursday, Oct. 21, at 12:15 p.m.
Salvi or via Zoom – Link here
A large aspect of advising many people have questions on is the Integratus Program. To offer an overview of the program and to answer questions about the program, this workshop is intended to provide basic insight to Integratus.

Monday, Oct. 25, at 12:15 p.m. in Aquinas Hall Room 200 or via Zoom – Link Here
Thank you for submitting the advising training survey earlier this semester. During this session, we will answer the questions you submitted as well as open the floor to new questions. Before attending this session, please take some time to review the updated advising website.
Non-Advising Staff Workshop
Friday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. in Aquinas Hall Room 210 (no Zoom)
Wednesday, Nov. 3, at noon in Aquinas Hall Room 210 or via Zoom – Link Here
Advising training for the non-adviser! This workshop is specifically designed for staff members who support students, but doesn’t directly advise students. To ensure we are all providing accurate information, this workshop will cover frequently asked questions and important information for supporting student’s academic careers at Saint Mary’s. Academic advisers are welcome to attend, but the intended audience for these workshops is support staff (coaches, student affairs, library, etc).
All workshops will be recorded and uploaded to the advising website. As much as you are able, we encourage everyone to attend in person. If you are unable to attend any of the sessions, but would like more information, please reach out to advising@smumn.edu.
